My Christmas Wishlist for 2015!

So it’s the middle of December and after gorging on the first of many sweet treats to come over the festive season (if unlike me you have resisted the temptation to eat them all!) it’s time to create the wishlist of all wishlists! I love a wishlist.. and to be honest my wishlist is ongoing! That’s enough of saying wishlist for now!….wishlist.

I recently went on a major spending spree in Waterstones coming away with £50+ worth of gorgeous new hardback books from my favourite bloggers, vloggers and fashionistas, a review of which will be coming soon! I still love curling up with a good book and a couple on my wishlist this Christmas include:

Fleur de Force – The Glam Guide (I’m obsessed with blogger/vlogger books at the mo!)

Dita Von Teese – Your Beauty Mask (She is my ultimate beauty icon! Even her front cover is stunning!)

Alexander McQueen – Claire Wilcox (After seeing the exhibition, I felt intrigued to learn more about the designer)

Miles of MAC (No one can ever have too much MAC)

I am majorly getting into Charlotte Tilbury make up. Not only are the products looking super cute, the names of the different products are so unique and I’m super excited as we now have our very own branch in London!

Lip Cheat, Pillowtalk – £16

Keeping with beauty and I think it’s time to admit that yes, I’m a Naked addict. By that I mean the gorgeous eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay that have literally taken the blogging community by storm. I’m not going to bore you with yet another review of these fantastic eyeshadows – everyone knows they’re amazing by now. However, I am going to pop a couple on my wishlist and hope to inspire you to do the same. Once you do, there’s just no going back. (For those of you who are interested I am going to be doing a W7 palette review, which in my opinion are just as fabulous on a budget buy!)

Naked2Palette_m.jpg

My absolute fave palette, Naked 2 – £38

How cute is this Fujifilm pink camera?! I adore it! Or if you’re a massive Hello Kitty fan check this one out too! I was debating getting one last Christmas but never got round to it.

I love having photos around of memories and special occasions and I’ve found a few gorgeous frames from Paperchase that I absolutely love this Christmas.

Flamingo Frame – £18

My computer is literally so old it’s practically running Windows 98 (which is saying something as it’s a Macbook!!) so it’s definitely in need for an upgrade. I have been looking at getting a netbook for a while now – something that I can pop in my handbag so I can set myself up in a coffee shop over lunch and get on top of my blogging. I love this ACER from Currys, which is sleek and versatile, perfect for working on the move!

In 2016 I want to get mega organised with my blog and in order to do so I am looking to get a Blogger Planner. These Blogger Planners are perfect for keeping organised, planning content and brainstorming new ideas. They also have such lovely quotes and are seasonal, offering beautiful pastel shades in the Summer and blacks, greys and whites in Winter. Available from The Bloggers Planner.

In 2016 I want to fill my home and life with everything rose gold. I can’t describe how much I love this colour. A slightly pinker version of a copper colour, it looks most fabulous with rich dark purples and white.

Tealight Holders from eBay – £7.99

Fairy Lights from Christmas Time UK – £34

When I was last in Debenhams (One of my fave department stores with excellent sales!) I spotted these gorgeous Ted Baker PJ’s. All of Ted Baker’s sleepwear and lingerie range is so beautifully silky and soft and so perfect for curling up in on a Winter’s evening. It’s a shorts and vest set too meaning you won’t get too overly toasty curled up under layers of duvets and blankets!

I am totally besotted with the new Michael Kors Rose Gold perfume. Not only is it such a stunning colour but it smells so yummy that I kept the sample in my bag for weeks! Definitely check it out if you haven’t already. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Make Up Review – Natural Collection

Today I am doing my first Natural Collection review! I have never really used Natural Collection before except for their powders so I was excited to try some various products out.

The Products

wpid-2015-06-22-21.25.09.jpg.jpeg

The first product to review is the Colour Foundation. I wore this foundation on a daily basis and it gave me quite a light, fresh coverage which was perfect for spring. I really liked how this went on to my skin and the tinted glow it gave me. It was perfect for daywear although I think I would choose something with a bit more coverage for evening wear.

wpid-2015-06-22-21.23.26.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: Beautify – This product was great for everyday use to provide a fresh look in the daytime on holiday! It was easy and light to apply and I didn’t have to use a large quantity to get the coverage I was after throughout the day.

The next product I picked up was a pale pink blusher which gives me a fresh look for everyday wear before I went onto my bronzer for summer!

wpid-2015-06-22-21.23.52.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: Beautify – I loved the shade of this blusher as it was so subtle against my skin. Again, I would use this as daywear as I don’t feel it is thick enough for evening wear for me but I loved it!

I was looking for a lighter coloured eyeshadow to wear and came across this cute lilac colour. I am a massive fan of anything lilac for summer 2015 so this was perfect!

wpid-2015-06-22-21.24.18.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: Beautify – I loved how easy this eyeshadow was to apply and how soft it was! I thought the colour was really cute and would love to try others in the collection. I think a range of colours would look really pretty all together in my make up collection!

This gorgeous lip liner in Ruby Rose was so easy to apply and with a lipgloss over the top looks absolutely amazing!

wpid-2015-06-22-21.24.41.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: Beautify – I would definitely be keen to try other shades. I was very impressed by the length of wear and the vibrancy of the colour.

So, three things I’ve learnt from trying Natural Collection products?

1) Less is definitely more! These products are so cheap but you definitely get a lot for your money!

2) Perfect for day wear.

3) The colour shades are stunning.

What do you think of Natural Collection products and do you have any recommendations? I’d love to hear them!

I absolutely love these products, but I’m also open to trying new ones and love mixing it up with lots of different brands (although I have been known to splurge quite heavily on Benefit cosmetics as you can probably tell from the list above!)

So this week I’m bringing you MakeUp Academy (MUA) Cosmetics. I found my products in Superdrug and they had an amazing 3 for 2 deal on for all cosmetics – get down there quick if you want to get involved! It’s an amazing offer! I bought a mixture of eyeshadows and primers, both of which are essentials in my beauty regime and also bought a new highlighter which I have pretty much fallen in love with! My reviews of all these products below with a Beautify or Bust review, letting you know my verdict. Let me know if you are loving or hating the MUA Cosmetics range and if you have any faves in the comments below.

MUA Pro-Base Smooth, Set & Prime – £5

Usually I use Benefit’s Porefessional and I absolutely adore it, so for me to step away for a moment was a difficult choice to make! I love the clear simple packaging of this product and I found the difference of it being in a pot rather than a tube interesting. It sits happily alongside those pricier products on the shelves and does a good job at providing a base for my makeup. However, I found I had to use quite a lot of the product to get an even base and my face still felt quite oily after using it. It certainly made my skin feel smooth though after using it.

wpid-2015-04-30-21.48.29.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: BUST – I love the packaging of this product but not overly keen on the scent compared to my current Benefit product. I really like the smoothness of the product though on my skin so would probably use this for every day use however definitely prefer the product being in a tube rather than in a pot.

MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder – £4

Obviously, not being a make up pro when I first saw this powder I was slightly confused wondering why I would want to put a bright green and purple onto my face! This baked powder is beautiful and a wonderful addition to my make up collection. It feels so light on my skin too which is amazing!

wpid-2015-04-30-21.49.26.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: BEAUTIFY – I love this product! It gave my skin a nice smooth, matte finish and reduced redness and blemishes. If I wanted to use a primer that was a powder instead of a cream I would definitely opt for this every time! In terms of using it as a concealer, I would most likely use an additional, although it did reduce redness I still needed to use an additional concealer to hide any additional blemishes!

MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold – £3

I saw this highighter on Ninkcompoop’s YouTube video review (go check out her videos – I’m addicted!) and literally fell in love with it to the point that I went out and bought it that same afternoon! The colour is absolutely gorgeous, a shimmery gold and the pattern on the powder is so pretty that I want to display it for all to see!

wpid-2015-04-30-21.49.00.jpg.jpeg

wpid-2015-04-30-21.52.05.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: BEAUTIFY – Not having used a highlighter before, I absolutely fell in love with this product. I loved how it brightened up my face and my eyes and the sparkle it provided. I definitely recommend!

MUA Eyeshadow Pallette in Hall of Fame – £4

I absolutely love the colours on this pallette. A mixture of golds, creams, blush, warm browns and dark blues to create a smokey eye effect. This pallette contains some of MUA’s most popular shades ever and I love the flexibility to get creative with it.

wpid-2015-04-30-21.42.43.jpg.jpeg

wpid-20150430_204742.jpg

wpid-2015-04-30-21.54.29.jpg.jpegimage

Verdict: BEAUTIFY – I absolutely love the range of colours available in this pallette, ranging from nudes and golds to blues and black with a touch of sparkle. This is one pallette that I think will last me a very long time!

MUA Merged Trio Eyeshadow in Theatrics – £2.50

Firstly I absolutely loved the name theatrics, this was closely followed by the amazing baked colours. They literally look like planets! It was difficult to choose which trio to go for as there were so many to choose from and they all looked amazing, however finally settled on a mix of purples and golds which I thought would be a perfect combination.

wpid-2015-04-30-21.41.33.jpg.jpeg

wpid-20150430_204527.jpg

wpid-2015-04-30-21.53.36.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: BEAUTIFY – I love the smokey eye effect this trio gave me and the additional sparkle in each eyeshadow. An amazing budget purchase and so pretty!

MUA Brow Define Tinted Brow Mascara in Dark Brown – £2

This product came in a couple of fab shades to choose from depending on how dark your brows are. It was easy to apply and the product went easily onto the eyebrow, brushing gently through. A perfect product for defining brows!

wpid-2015-04-30-21.50.23.jpg.jpeg

Verdict: BUST – I can see how it would be a fab product, and it definitely does stay on and emphasises my eyebrows but as my brows are quite dark already I’m not sure this is the product for me. It made me look quite theatrically angry as the product was quite dark! I think I will be sticking to a powdered product in future.
