#LoveMe Challenge – Day 20

Prompts

Something you love to wear

I love to experiment with different styles and colours. I absolutely love patterns whether that be a simple floral pattern or a unique printed pattern. I love to dress up in different items and definitely have a bit of a shopping addiction with the amount of clothes I own in my wardrobe!!!

My favourite international clothing brand has to be Black Milk clothing. Based in Australia, they offer an amazing range of unique printed items. Over the years I have collected Disney princess leggings, snowflake leggings, a Christmas ribbon printed dress, a pumpkin printed dress and a spiderweb skirt. I absolutely love how each item is handmade and is made with such care. I always feel like every item I receive from them is of the highest quality.

My favourite type of clothing has to be the A-line skirt which I often wear with bardot tops for a cute, girly outfit. I often wear a black striped skirt with a black bardot top which has a particularly Parisian feel!

Inked Shop Review

Usually I only tend to review businesses from here in the UK but as this is a fashion related post, I’ve decided to go international as I absolutely love this brand!

Inked Shop, based in the United States, provides women’s and men’s clothing, merchandise and homeware from many alternative designers. They offer reasonable International Shipping although be aware you may need to pay a customs charge on delivery.

I absolutely love the different designers on Inked Shop and I especially enjoy anything Disney related. So imagine my delight when I came across this Frozen inspired T-shirt by Black Market Art! I absolutely love it. The design is so cute and whilst I normally don’t wear T-shirts because of the neckline, I really loved the scoop neck on this.

Disney Drawing

I’ve recently got really into drawing! Usually I’m not very good at it but I do find something quite relaxing about it when I’m just copying a design. So I recently jumped onto Pinterest and scrolled through to find a few cute Disney designs and now I’m even contemplating getting one as a tattoo! What do you all think? Any recommendations as to which character I should draw next?

If the slipper fits… A visit to the Cinderella, The Exhibition

-font-b-Cinderella-b-font-is-proof-Life-Cute-Decor-vinyl-font-b-wall-b To celebrate the release of Cinderella we visited the Cinderella exhibition in London’s Leicester Square presented by Swarovski. This free exhibition presented both the costumes and the props from the set giving a real behind-the-scenes look into how the film was made. wpid-20150328_183411.jpg

Cinderella is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year and as a huge fan of all things Disney, and especially the story of Cinderella I couldn’t wait to visit! There were over 100 props from the set and over 30 stunning costumes from the film. The tour was a thoroughly enjoyable, interactive experience, taking us through Cinderella’s home and the grand ballroom. We especially loved the transformation from the pumpkin to the carriage! wpid-20150328_181557.jpg wpid-20150328_181815.jpgwpid-20150328_182014.jpgwpid-20150328_181803.jpg wpid-20150328_182134.jpg wpid-20150328_182551.jpg wpid-20150328_182359.jpg 1.7 million Swarovski crystals were used to add extra sparkle to the costumes. They also produced the iconic glass slippers that were used in the film which sparkled with a rainbow of colours. Screen shot 2015-04-11 at 13.56.47 There were also beautiful illustrations around the exhibition to show the full design process of the costume creations. wpid-20150328_182755.jpg wpid-20150328_182842.jpg The film has also inspired a collection for MAC, including shimmering eyeshadows, pearl powders and nude enchanting shades of lipstick and tinted lipglass. The packaging is reflective of Cinderella’s beautiful pale blue ball gown. mac-cinderella-makeup Cinderella is in cinemas nationwide now! Becky at Pretty & Petit
